Guardmaster/Guardmaster II With Lock Wire Installation Instructions

1. Facing locking mechanism, move security loop A to left of notched bar. Pivot retaining loop B to point straight up. Expand gate by hand for a snug fit in doorway or hallway from 27" to 41". Make sure all four rubber bumpers engage inside of door jam or firm wall surfaces.

2. Holding loop B straight up, count four notches to left (toward free end) and make a distinctive pencil mark on notched bar. Repeat steps 1 and 2 each time the gate is used at a different location.

3. Raise notched bar at left (free) end, and position top of loop B into marked notch. Push down on left end of notched bar so gate expands into position.

4. Slide security loop A onto notched bar and drop into first notch. Check to be sure gate is secure by grasping top and attempt to move toward and away from you. If gate is not secure, release gate and repeat steps 3 and 4 moving loop B to left one notch at a time until secure.
